Living Through It
Can I stay in my home during renovations?
It depends on scope. Many clients stay in their homes while we renovate in phases — we seal off work areas with dust barriers, maintain access to bathrooms and kitchens as long as possible, and clean up daily.
For the most extensive renovations — especially those involving kitchen and main bathroom gutting — a temporary move-out of a few weeks can reduce stress and actually speed up construction.
We'll give you an honest recommendation during the planning phase. If living in the home is important to you, we'll design the phasing plan around it. If you have the flexibility to move out, we'll take advantage of the empty house to compress timelines.
Either way, you'll have a clear schedule, regular updates, and one point of contact throughout the entire project.
