I have many many people ask what the best paint colour would be for their home that resembles their own personal style and I have been able to help these clients create the exact look they were sought after. The approach I use every single time when deciding on a final paint colour for a space is laid out in the Perfectly Painted course. You will no longer feel overwhelmed by the thousands of choices and you will feel more ready then ever to tackle the home renovations that have been in the back of your mind for months or even years.
The Perfectly Painted approach is laid out for you to use over and over again.
You will get access to the 25 page workbook with three informative steps that are easy to follow, actionable tips and our 3 step video series. Follow steps one through three for best results.
STEP ONE - Colour Theory Basics
This is where we discuss the principles of colour theory and really dive deep into the colour wheel. We discuss different colour relationships and how this can be applied to choosing the perfect paint colours for your home. We go over identifying colour undertones even in neutral colours and we also explain how to choose multiple colours that go well together in a space.
STEP TWO - Finding Your Style
In step two we discuss how to find your style. We go through 4 actionable steps in order for you to really understand and get laser focused on choosing not only paint colours but also decor items that you love and will keep for a very long time. We talk about how almost every person likes a blend of different styles and how to create a cohesive look throughout your home with a specific colour palette rather than just using the typical terms to describe your style, such as traditional, contemporary, or modern.
STEP THREE - Lighting Affects
Step three is where you will learn how lighting affects colours with different undertones. We discuss why a paint chip can look one way in the store and completely different once it is painted on your wall. This is an integral part of the learning process and we give you actionable tips that you can use to make sure you are confident in your paint colour decision before buying that 1 gallon can of paint.
Access to our Private Facebook Group - 3 step video series
This is a biggie! In this Facebook group we will discuss any questions you may have and share renovation photos of your before and afters as a community. This is a really fun and informative group to be in and is a crucial part of the course.

This cheatsheet is something you can refer back to each time you are thinking about painting and will give you a good idea of what finish will work best for the area you are working on.
My Favourite Neutrals ($29 value)
This includes my go-to neutral paint colours that I love to use and just for fun, there are a few of my favourite bold colours in there too as an added extra! These colours are what I have used in my own home and client's designs as well. I also differentiate which colours have cool undertones vs warm undertones.

What if my partner and I have different styles in paint colour? If you and your partner are at opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to choosing paint colours this is definitely something I cover in the course. This is a common concern and something that can be worked around. Mixing styles can look beautiful when done correctly and I will explain exactly how to do that.
-
Do you go over how to choose all types of different colours?Yes! The method I use can work for any colour. You probably have noticed that my personal style is gravitated towards the more neutral tones but we also discuss bold colours and many other options so that whatever your personal style is, you can feel confident in choosing a colour that resembles that.
-
What if I don't know what my style is?No problem! This is actually one of the crucial steps in the method I use. We go over how to define your personal design style and blend styles together while still creating a cohesive look in your home.
-
Will you be working with me to create my personalized colour palette? No. This course is designed as a self guided course for you to complete on your own. In the facebook group, myself and anyone from our private community can answer any questions you may have but this course is created for you to work on at the convenience of your own time.
-
How long will the course take me to complete? This course is a 3 step video series that are each about 30 mins in length. The 25 page guidebook is very informative and can be finished all in one sitting (2-3 hours), it is suggested to read one step a day as you are watching the corresponding videos. It really comes down to personal preference but my suggestion is to read step one and then watch the videos in step 1, read step 2 and watch the videos in step 2 and so on.
-
Do you offer refunds?Due to the nature of the material, once you have made your payment no refunds will be granted.

Should I be planning to paint my house right away? The best scenario would be to take this course right before you are planning to paint so that you can implement the steps and take action on picking the perfect paint colour for your home. It is ultimately up to you when you plan to paint but if you are not planning to do so in the near future this course could be useful for you in terms of defining your design style and learning how to blend styles together, otherwise this course is focused on picking the perfect paint colours for your home.
